Pope Francis to visit Vietnam soon

Pope Francis expressed his hope to visit Vietnam soon, according to Under-Secretary for Relations with States of the Holy See Monsignor Miroslaw Wachowski in his meeting with Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang in Hanoi on May 17. At the meeting, the two sides talked about promoting high-level visits and the role of the Vietnam-Vatican Joint Working Group and the Office of the Holy See's Papal Nuncio in Vietnam.
US chip designer accelerates expansion in Vietnam
US Marvell Technology Inc. is accelerating the expansion of its operations in Vietnam, which will soon become one of the group's three largest centers, said Dr. Loi Nguyen, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Marvell’s Optical and Copper Connectivity, on May 17. The group has opened a new design center in the central city of Danang with about 50 employees.
It plans to open the second one in Ho Chi Minh City this year, focusing on emerging microchip technologies such as optical interconnects, memory, analog, and mixed-signal semiconductor technologies.
5,000 participants to join 3rd International Youth Festival in 2024 in Hanoi
The 3rd International Youth Festival in 2024 will be held on September 14 in Tran Nhan Tong Pedestrian Street and surrounding areas in Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi's likely to attract 5,000 participants. The event aims to connect and promote international relations among Hanoi's young people.
The festival will also include other activities such as artistic exchanges, the 2nd "For a Peaceful World" running race in 2024, and a children's painting competition to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Hanoi.
11,500 women entrepreneurs benefit from technology literacy
As many as 11,500 women entrepreneurs in Hanoi have offered technology literacy over the past time. Chairwoman of the Hanoi Women's Union Le Kim Anh gave the figure at the opening ceremony of the program "Hanoi Women's Day - Application of Technology and Innovation in 2024" held on May 17.
Hanoi 2024 Consumer Goods Fair opens
Consumer Goods Fair - Hanoi 2024 attracted more than 90 enterprises from 30 provinces and cities across the country. With more than 100 booths, the fair held in Ha Dong District on May 17-19 displays specialty products, including textiles, leather and footwear, household goods, handicrafts, farm produce, food, beverages, and "One Commune One Product" (OCOP) items.
