17th annual job fair for Vietnamese students in Japan

The Vietnamese Youth and Student Association in Japan launched the 17th Job Fair on May 25 to match businesses with Vietnamese expatriates, especially young students. It was a chance for Vietnamese students in Japan to get proper guidance and prepare for their future in the East Asian country.
The job fair was attended by more than 200 students and 10 Japanese companies. The Vietnamese student community is now the second largest in Japan after the Chinese.
French ambassador pledges best support for Vietnamese athletes
French Ambassador to Vietnam Olivier Brochet met with Vietnamese athletes competing in the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France on May 25.
The French diplomat promised to provide maximum support to Pham Thi Hue and Nguyen Thi Huong, who will compete for titles in rowing and canoeing.
Hue and Huong are the first Vietnamese athletes to qualify for the Olympic rowing and canoeing events. They are now training in the northern port city of Haiphong.
Vietnamese and Chinese young entrepreneurs discuss future cooperation
A meeting was held on May 25 between the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association and its counterpart from Yunan Province, China, to discuss opportunities for Chinese businesses to expand their operations in Vietnam.
According to the Chinese delegation, Vietnam is a potential market with a young population, a dynamic market and labor force, and political stability. These factors make Vietnam a promising destination for Chinese firms.
For their part, Vietnamese businessmen expressed their willingness to help Chinese enterprises set up in Vietnam and expected further cooperation in logistics, trade, science and technology, and energy.
Vietnamese Association for Culture, Arts in Czech to foster national culture dissemination
The Vietnamese Culture and Arts Association in the Czech Republic will make great efforts to promote Vietnamese cultural values to the world and encourage young generations to preserve their traditions, a meeting heard on May 25.
To achieve these targets, the association will host more art shows for Vietnamese in the Czech Republic and events in other countries with the participation of foreigners.
Steam train to operate between Danang and Hue by year's end
Two steam locomotives have been restored and are ready to provide travelers with exciting services and experiences. The train is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2024 or early 2025 to take tourists from Danang to Hue City, Thua Thien Hue Province, promising them an amazing journey.
The two locomotives pull two cars with a total capacity of nearly 120 passengers. Another two cars are used for cooking and carrying luggage.
