Italian businesses keen on Vietnamese market
Vietnam is a very attractive market with great potential for businesses in Brescia, said Franco Gusalli Beretta, President of the Brescia Provincial Confederation of Employers, at a business forum on Southeast Asian markets held in Brescia, northern Italy, on October 1.
Major companies in the province of Brescia were interested in Vietnam's potential as a source of industrial rubber rubber. They also plan to visit Vietnam soon to learn more about the market.
Vietnamese, Japanese enterprises strengthen technology supply-demand link
Enterprises from Vietnam's port city of Haiphong and Japan's Kitakyushu city participated in a technology supply-demand linkage meeting held on October 2.
The event aimed to help Vietnamese companies access technology, improve competitiveness, become deeply involved in the global production and supply chain, and have the opportunity to become outsourcing units, and ventures of Japanese partners.
Ericsson and MobiFone to establish 5G innovation center in Vietnam

Ericsson and MobiFone signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Hanoi on October 2 to collaborate on the establishment of a 5G innovation hub at MobiFone's premises in Vietnam.
The center will showcase innovative 5G use cases that demonstrate the potential of 5G for consumers and businesses using advanced, state-of-the-art equipment and interactive displays.
Machine Tools & Metalworking Solutions Exhibition attracts over 200 brands
The 17th Vietnam International Exhibition on Machine Tools & Metalworking Solutions for Production Upgrade, held in Ho Chi Minh City from October 2 to 4, attracted over 200 brands from 20 different countries.
Themed 'From Lines to Cycle - Building a Carbon Neutral Manufacturing Legacy', the show is aimed at the automotive, aerospace, electronics, and metalworking industries and will feature advanced automation solutions, production control systems, and cutting-edge machinery.
Exhibition promotes innovation and sustainability
The Vietnam Interior and Construction Exhibition (VIBE 2024) was held from October 2 to 5 in Ho Chi Minh City, featuring more than 500 booths from 150 companies showcasing innovations in furniture, construction, and technology. The event also includes workshops, forums, and networking to promote collaboration and sustainable architecture.
Campaign fosters reading and learning culture
Vietnam has launched the 2024 Campaign to Promote Reading Culture. The initiative aims to raise awareness of the importance of reading, nurture reading habits in all sectors, especially among students, and recognize key contributors. It is part of a broader plan to build a learning society and advance cultural development by 2030.
Vietnam Football Federation earns two AFC nominations
The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has been nominated in two major categories at the 2023 AFC Annual Awards, receiving a Diamond nomination alongside China and Thailand in the Football Federation of the Year category, and a Bronze nomination alongside Chinese Taipei and Cambodia in the AFC President's Recognition Award for Grassroots Football.
Free-entry football tournament marks Hanoi's celebration
The T&T Cup International Women's Football Hanoi 2024 will be held at the Hang Day Stadium from October 3-7 with free entry for spectators. The tournament will feature four teams, including clubs from China, the Philippines, and Vietnam. The event celebrates the 70th anniversary of Hanoi's liberation (October 10, 1954) and showcases the city as a vibrant, culturally rich and sports-loving destination.
