Vietnam opposes Taiwan authorities to Ba Binh (Itu Aba)

On July 28, Vietnam`s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Le Hai Binh declared that all activities in the Paracels, Spratlys archipelago without the consent of Vietnam are illegal.

The official raised the issue  in response to reporters’ queries about Vietnam’s stance on Taiwan’s arrangement of visits for its senior officials to the Ba Binh (Itu Aba) feature area which belongs to Vietnam. Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Le Hai Binh has protested Taiwan (China)'s violation of Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago.

Vietnam affirms its indisputable sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes. All activities by foreign countries in these regions without Vietnam’s permission are illegal, he said

"The visit of some Taiwanese officials to Ba Binh has seriously violated Vietnams’ sovereignty over Truong Sa archipelago. Vietnam resolutely opposes and demands that Taiwan should not to repeat similar activities to help maintain peace and stability in the East Sea,"  Binh stressed.
