Vietnam reinforces bilateral relation with Belarus

Vietnam attaches importance to developing cooperation ties with Belarus, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh told Belarus Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei on March 24.

During talks in Hanoi, Makei praised Vietnam’s socio-economic development and international integration achievements in recent times and affirmed that Belarus wants to increase multifaceted cooperation with Vietnam.

They discussed measures to improve cooperation in politics, diplomacy, economics, trade, military technology, labour, culture, sports, tourism, education and training, as well as to strengthen coordination at multilateral forums, particularly the United Nations.

After the talks, the diplomats signed an agreement on cooperation between the two foreign ministries in the 2014-2015 period, and witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding on supplying Kali fertilisers to Vietnam between Belarus’s Kali Fertiliser Company and Vietnam’s Thien Thanh Loc Ltd.
