In the framework of the 4th International Cultural Forum in Saint Petersburg, Russia on December 14-16 and the third International Tourism Forum, Russia’s Federal Agency for Tourism and the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism signed the cooperation document to promote tourism links between Vietnam and Russia in 2016-2018.
A Vietnamese delegation led by Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Khanh Hai attended the 4th International Cultural Forum in Saint Petersburg, Russia on December 14-16.
In the framework of the 4th International Cultural Forum and the third International Tourism Forum, Russia’s Federal Agency for Tourism and the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism signed the cooperation document to promote tourism links between Vietnam and Russia in 2016-2018.
The document lays a basis for Vietnam and Russia to spur their cooperation in the exchange of tourists and in attracting visitors from third countries, contributing to boost the bilateral friendship and cooperation.
The two countries will support each other in tourism promotion activities in respective nations, as well as exchange information on important tourism events in each country.
Vietnam and Russia will also focus on developing investment and tourism projects and training human resources.
Under the plan, the two countries committed to create favourable conditions for their travel agencies to open representative offices in respective countries and boost tourism collaboration.
Deputy head of International Cooperation Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Ngoc Dinh affirmed the document will help open new opportunities for Vietnam’s tourism enterprises and tour operators to expand their activities in the Russian market.
