Vietnam strongly asserts sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa
In the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the afternoon of Oct.23, in Hanoi, Deputy Spokesman Pham Thu Hang informed of foreign activities of Vietnam in the coming time and answered domestic and international reporters.

"We will resolutely oppose any activity unilaterally to change the status quo in this area", she said. Related to avalanches in Nepal, Ms. Pham Thu Hang said: "According to information from the Embassy of Vietnam in India, Nepal concurrently, on Oct. 21, the Embassy of Nepal in India confirmed that there is no Vietnam citizens in the lists of persons killed in avalanches dated Oct. 15.
