Vietnam - the Philippines to promote cooperation in various fields
On May 11, Ambassador of the Philippines Republic Noel Servigon met with Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung in Hanoi, on the occasion of receiving his new position in Vietnam.

At the meeting, Ambassador Noel Servigon thanked the solemn reception of the Hanoi's leadership and expressed his pleasure at the two countries' relationship, that is better and better, constantly being strengthened and developed.
2016 is the time of the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Philippines, Ambassador Noel Servigon desired that MPC, representing the Capital's People will support and create conditions for this important event to successfully occur.
Towards 2017, as a member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Vietnam will host the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), while the Philippines holds the position of ASEAN President. The two countries will therefore have more opportunities to cooperate, Ambassador Noel Servigon expressed.
Congratulated the Ambassador on his new position, President Nguyen Duc Chung stressed that members of ASEAN in integration activities between the two countries, especially in Asia Pacific will be extensive ongoing, Vietnam and the Philippines are facing huge potential for cooperation in the fields of economic, trade and cultural exchanges.
