The festival is to mark the achievements and contributions of the ASEAN peoples and nations, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan said at the press conference in Hanoi on June 4.
The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) officially launched a festival of photos, reportage and documentary films on peoples in the ASEAN community in Hanoi on June 4.
Organisers will receive photo, reportage and documentary film submissions reflecting the cultures, costumes, traditions, languages, health, education, industries, agriculture, and environments of the peoples in ASEAN nations.
Deadline for entries is October 31, 2015. Participants may be an organisation, group of authors or individuals who are citizens of an ASEAN member country.
According to Deputy Minister Truong Minh Tuan, the ASEAN Community will be officially established on December 31.
Award ceremony is expected to take place in December in Vietnam.
Awards include one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes and three special prizes.
