The Vietnamese Association in Poland celebrated its 25th anniversary last week and held its 7th congress to elect a new board. This milestone is significant in the integration and development process of the Vietnamese community in the European country.

At the event, delegates reflected on the past 25 years, highlighting the solidarity and tireless efforts that have defined the Vietnamese Association in Poland. The association has become a vibrant organization that unites the Vietnamese community and promotes cultural identity in a modern European context.
In his speech, Vietnamese Ambassador to Poland Ha Hoang Hai praised the positive achievements of the association and expressed his gratitude for the dedication and valuable contributions of its leaders and members over the years.
Over the past 25 years, the association has undertaken meaningful community programs, advocated for the rights and interests of its members, promoted cultural exchanges, and enhanced the community's profile in Polish society. In addition, it has effectively organized programs and initiatives that connect the community with its homeland.
The association's efforts have played a crucial role in fostering unity within the community, strengthening ties with Vietnam, and acting as a bridge of friendship between Vietnam and Poland.
The diplomat also expressed optimism that the association will continue to lead the community and promote the recognition of Vietnamese as an ethnic minority in Poland.
He reiterated that the Embassy will always support and be a reliable partner to the Vietnamese Association, as well as other organizations and the community at large.
During the event, some 20 individuals and groups were recognized for their significant contributions.
The congress re-elected Tran Anh Tuan as president for the 2024-2029 term.
