Vietnamese enterprises suggested to boost their management capacity
State President Truong Tan Sang met with outgoing Singaporean Ambassador to Vietnam Ng Teck Hean in Hanoi on March 23.
At the reception, the President stressed the ambassador’s contributions to boosting ties between Vietnam and Singapore in all fields, especially in economic affiliations.
President Sang highly appreciated the support from Singapore, and adding that the country is a model of development, management capacity and human resources for Vietnam to study.
For his part, Ambassador Ng Teck Hean reported on the outstanding outcomes of eight Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Parks and the construction progress of a hotel and resort complex in Phu Quoc island, which is worth up to 4 billion USD.
The Ambassador said Singapore is willing to exchange experience with Vietnam.
Ambassador Ng Teck Hean also affirmed that Singapore's investment in Vietnam will strongly increase in the next two years.
Some Singaporean key businesses are eyeing the Vietnamese market, he added.
During the meeting, the diplomat recommended that Vietnamese companies need to boost their capital and management capacity.
Singapore is one of the leading partners of Vietnam in politics, trade and investment. At present, the country is helping Vietnam train personnel for the organisation of the 2017 APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) forum.
