Hanoi and La Habana should cooperate in more projects to contribute to the development of the traditional bilateral relationship.
The memories of the faithful, strong and selfless relationship between Vietnamese and Cuban people uphold the eternal legacy of the late Vietnamese President Ho Chi Minh and the late Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro, according to VNA.
A Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV)’s delegation led by Politburo member of the CPV and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai paid a three-day working visit to Cuba in mid-September.
Within the framework of the visit, Hoang Trung Hai met with the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Raul Castro Ruz, and President of the Council of State and Council of Ministers of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez.
The two sides exchanged the experience and lessons on the process of building socialism in their respective countries, affirming the determination to promote socio-economic cooperation to deepen the long-standing friendship between Vietnam and Cuba as the two nations will celebrate the 60th founding anniversary of diplomatic ties in December 2020.
The Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee expressed his belief that Cuban Communist Party and people with strong will and wide experience would overcome the difficulties in their development path in face of the complicated situation in the region and the world. He affirmed Vietnamese people’s unvarying sentiments and support to the revolutionary process of the brotherly Cuban people.
He also stressed that Hanoi and La Habana should cooperate in more projects to contribute to the development of the traditional bilateral relationship.
Besides, the Hanoi leader also met with Vice President of the Council of Ministers Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz to discuss cooperation in potential fields.
