Vietnamese pavilion attracts numerous visitors at Thailand Travel Mart Plus 2016
Joining in the ongoing Thailand Travel Mart Plus (TTM +2016) from June 8-10 in Chiang Mai, the Vietnamese pavilion was paid a special attention from visitors, media agencies and partners interested in seeking business opportunities.
The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) and eight travel operators are participating in the ongoing Thailand Travel Mart Plus (TTM +2016) held in Chiang Mai from June 8-10.
TTM + is the largest tourism fair in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) organised by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).
Attending the ongoing TTM +2016, the Vietnamese pavilion was paid a special attention from visitors, media agencies and partners interested in seeking business opportunities in Vietnam.
At the fair, Vietnamese pavilion provides visitors with information about National Tourism Year 2016 Phu Quoc - Mekong Delta themed “Exploring Southern Land”.
Tourist activities scheduled throughout this year will promote tourism potential, advantages and products of Kien Giang and nearby provinces.
Kien Giang is one of Vietnam’s 28 coastal cities and provinces. Phu Quoc is a popular destination. Its famous beaches include Truong, Dai, and Hon Thom.

According to VNAT Tourism Market Department, the participation of Vietnamese travel agents in the TTM+2016 aims to draw tourists from the lucrative Thai market and exchange with their highly reputable partners from Thailand.
On the occasion, Vietravel Company inaugurated the Vinh-Bangkok route, thus facilitating to promote links among Nghe An, Thanh Hoa and Ha Tinh provinces in building local and international tourism products and marking a new step of development in localising Thailand-bound tours via direct flights from the provinces to Bangkok.
In 2015, about 760,000 Vietnamese tourists came to Thailand, a year-on-year increase of 24%. In the first four months of this year, Thailand received around 200,000 Vietnamese visitors, up 0.24% against the same period a year ago.
