In June, Bitel was named as the most favorite telecom service in Peru.
Bitel, a subsidiary company in Peru of Vietnam’s leading telco Viettel, has won the “Best New Telecom Product” at the 2019 International Business Awards – IBA Stevie Awards for its Ti5 package.
The Ti5 package offers Bitel’s subscribers the best experience through all-inclusive plans with high speed internet connection without having to pay extra costs.
After a year of implementation, revenue generated from the Ti5 package accounted for 50% of Bitel’s total revenue from pre-paid subscribers.
In the first six months of 2019, the number of Bitel’s 4G subscribers increased by 139%, while the company was named as the most favorite telecom carrier in Peru in June.
Viettel is currently one of the world's top 15 largest telecommunications companies with 100 million subscribers globally.
With an annual growth of 10-15% by 2020, Viettel set revenue target of VND350 trillion-VND400 trillion (US$15.4-US$17.6 billion), pre-tax profit of VND50-55 trillion (US$2.18 - US$2.4 billion) and becoming one of the top 10 telecom firms in the world.
Viettel currently is the only Vietnamese company earning revenue of over US$1 billion in overseas markets. It has some 43 million clients in foreign markets as of the end of 2017, up 15% year-on-year.
The telco is operating in 11 countries, including Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Timor East, Peru, Mozambique, Cameroon, Burundi, Tanzania, Myanmar and Haiti.
