VN-RoK Science and Technology Institute to be built

The Ministry of Science and Technology is urgently finalising plans to construct a Viet Nam-Republic of Korea Institute of Science and Technology on over 20 hectares at the Hoa Lac High-Tech Park in the capital.

All necessary procedures are underway to launch the project later this year. The institute is expected to become a multi-sector research one with modern technical infrastructure and highly qualified staff.

The first phase of the project will run between 2014 and 2017 at a cost of about $70 million, including US$35 million sourced from the RoK’s non-refundable aid.
