Website on sovereign boundaries launches English version

The Foreign Ministry’s National Border Committee has launched the English-language version of its website o­n Vietnam’s sovereign boundaries.The website covers news, events, and activities of Party and State leaders as well as localities relating to borderline management and national defence o­n both land and the sea.

The website covers news, events, and activities of Party and State leaders as well as localities relating to borderline management and national defence o­n both land and the sea.


It updates protocols and agreements o­n border demarcation, marker planting and border gate management, and agreements o­n demarcation of sea, economic exclusive zones and continental shelf signed between Vietnam and other countries.

Documents o­n international law and historical, legal documents asserting Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spartly) archipelagos along with photos, maps, documentary films, songs o­n border, sea, islands are also available o­n the website.

The website at www.biengioilanhtho.gov.vn began operation o­n December 3, 2009 in the Vietnamese language, providing information and reflecting the Party and State’s official viewpoints o­n sovereign boundaries.
