“Winter in Hue” programme opens in Hanoi

An art performance themed “Winter in Hue” that was held at the Hanoi Opera House on December 14 attrated numerous local residents.

The “Winter in Hue” programme which takes place from December 14-15 is as part of the Hue Culture and Tourism Days in Hanoi to promote preservation of traditional art genres launched by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The Minstry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has decided to organise a series of programmes introducing culture and arts of localities nationwide at the Hanoi Opera House. The Hue Culture and Tourism Days event is the first among them.
According to Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Dung, the Hue Culture and Tourism Days in Hanoi aim to honour the uniqueness of Hue culture and introduce the city’s tourism potential.
Particularly, the “Winter in Hue” programme introduced Hue folk songs and lyrical melodies.
The event attracted the participation of well-known singers throughout the country including Bao Yen, Van Khanh, Quang Linh, Dang Duong, Lo Thuy among other, who are famous for songs about Hue.

Particularly, traditional folk melody like “Ho mai nhi”, “Ho mai sap”, “Quynh tuong” and “Ly con sao” was featured at the event by artists from the Hue Royal Traditional Arts Theatre. 
Additional, romantic sings about love and the Hue ancient capital composed by famous musicians such Nguyen Van Thuong, Tran Hoan, Minh Ky, Duong Thieu Tuoc, and Trinh Cong Son from 1950s, were also performed at the programme.
The art performance bought different emotions to Hanoi audiences.
