Hanoi and Laos will strengthen cooperation in the fields of economy, culture, education, and tourism.
Hanoi would continue to nurture the Vietnam-Laos special relations for the benefit of the two people.

The view was mentioned at the 5th Congress of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Organization – Hanoi chapter for tenure 2022-2027 today [August 30].
A report presented at the Congress noted the Friendship Organization during the 2017-2020 period has overcome difficulties from the Covid-19 pandemic and actively participated in events held by the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association, and the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations (HAUFO).
Since 2017, the Hanoi Youth Union sent three delegations of 150 volunteers to Vientiane for health treatment; transferring technologies and science on farming; gifting presents to needy children; cultural and sports exchange activities.
The Hanoi Youth Union also donated equipment for the Laos counterpart with a total value of VND3 billion (128,000).
For the 2022-2027 period, the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Organization – Hanoi chapter would continue to launch emulation campaigns celebrating major events of Hanoi and Vientiane in particular, and Vietnam-Laos in general.
The organization also aims at strengthening cooperation in people-to-people diplomacy with Vietnam-Laos Friendship Organizations from other localities, while creating favorable conditions for Laos students to study in Vietnam.
Lao Deputy Ambassador to Vietnam Chanthaphone Khammanichanh noted over the years, the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Organization – Hanoi chapter has been actively contributing to the Vietnam-Laos relations, bringing benefits to the two peoples and the two capitals.
HAUFO’s Vice Chairwoman Tran Thi Phuong highlighted the performance of the organization during the past term, and called for it to further raise public awareness of the friendship and close ties between Vietnam-Laos; maintain cooperation with the Laos Embassy and other agencies in strengthening understanding between the two sides; promote cooperation in fields of economy, culture, education, and tourism.
