Two weeks before Halloween, toy sellers on Hang Ma Street, Hoan Kiem District, are busy preparing scary toys and costumes as the day draws near.
Halloween (on October 31 each year), a famous festival in the West, has become more familiar to people in big cities in Vietnam.
Halloween in Vietnam has no religious significance but is an occasion for young people to get together for fun. As night falls, young people like to go out in their frightful costumes to scare people before joining an actual Halloween party later.
A variety of Halloween decorations and scary costumes, such as devil masks, outfits, and scythes of death among others. have been widely available on Hang Ma Street in the weeks leading up to the festival.
