100% of Hanoians will access to clean water

That is one of the central targets set by the Party Committee - People`s Council - Hanoi People`s Committee in the coming time.

To concretize that goal, Hanoi will focus on three main tasks: increasing water resources; expanding the transmission network and improving the quality of water supply to the people.

Recently, the Prime Minister has approved for Hanoi to adjust the planning of the Capital city's water supply system to 2030, with a vision to 2050, suitable to the actual conditions of the city.

To increase the source of clean water for the Capital, Duong River Water Plant was started; Bac Thang Long - Van Tri Water Plant was also prepared to increase capacity to 150,000 m3 per day; Duong Noi Water Plant with 30,000 m3 per day, using modern German technology.

Hanoi has also done well to call for socialized capital to invest in clean water supply items in rural areas. Specifically, 21 contractors have invested nearly 10,000 billion VND in 37 water supply projects for 220 communes and towns in 16 districts, capacity is expected about 360,000 m3 per day and night, ensuring water for about 2,240,000 people.

The installation program of Katalox Light clean water, with modern German technology is also being implemented in rural areas such as Phu Xuyen, Chuong My and 3 communes of Bac Son, Nam Son, Hong Ky (Soc Son District).
