1,200 enterprises to attend Vietnam Business Summit in Hanoi

The event is in the framework of World Economic Forum on ASEAN (WEF ASEAN) 2018.

Government officials, leaders of international organizations, think tanks and some 1,200 representatives of foreign and Vietnamese firms will participate in the Vietnam Business Summit in Hanoi on September 13, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) said at a press conference on August 30.

The summit is part of the World Economic Forum on ASEAN (WEF ASEAN) 2018. Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc is scheduled to attend and make a speech at the event.

Under the theme “Vietnam – reliable business partner: Connection and innovation”, the summit would put Vietnam’s new position in ASEAN and global value chain on the agenda.
Participants will have a chance to update on the latest development trend of Vietnam amid the unfolding Fourth Industrial Revolution and talkd new business opportunities.
VCCI Chairman Vu Tien Loc said VBS 2018 conveys a message of Vietnam as a serious, reliable and potential partner, focusing on the two points of connection and innovation. “These are two main forces for the Vietnamese enterprises and economy,”Loc noted.  
VBS 2018 would be divided into two key sessions. The first one themed "Vietnam’s role in ASEAN and global value chain” will see the participation and speeches of PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc and President of WEF Borge Brende. Enterprises would be open for deep dialogues on the theme then.
The second session with the topic “Vietnam – connection and innovation: New chances in business” will have the attendance of Ministers of Finance and Transport.
