25,000 contestants to compete English Champion 2016

English Champion 2016 will be the largest-scale contest that attracts the participation of 25,000 contestants across the country, almost doubling compared to the number of last year`s competition.

English Champion 2016 themed "Be a Global Citizen!" has the total awards worth up to 26.5 billion VND.
English Champion 2016, the 4th English contest for primary and junior high school students will be launched three big cities including Hanoi, Danang, and HCM City from March 5 to April 9.

The competition is held by The Vietnam Central Study Encouragement Association, EQuest Academy, and Pearson/Edexcel-UK's largest awarding organisation in Vietnam.
Accordingly, contestants from the 4th to 8th grades will compete in three rounds, including The Start of Something New, Making a Difference, and Global Ambassadors to show their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
Besides, the competitors will also be examined the skills of math, science knowledge, communication and presentation.
The winner of each grade will receive a full scholarship worth 60 million VND and 5 million VND in cash.
The second prize will receive 3 million VND and a scholarship worth 30 million VND and the third placer will be given 1 million VND and a scholarship worth 15 million VND.
15 outstanding contestants of the competition will be funded to participate Edexcel’s international certification exams for primary and junior high school students.
