From December 15 to December 25, the PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Joint Stock Corporation (PVFCCo) has awarded “Phu My Fertilizers” scholarships to nearly 500 students.
“Phu My Fertilizers” scholarships have been presented to roughly 500 students of universities and colleges throughout the country for the academic year 2014-2015 from December 15 to December 25.
Accordingly, on December 15, PVFCCo awarded 40 “Phu My Fertilizers” scholarships to students in the area of Southwest.
The scholarship program was held in Central - Highlands regions on December 17 (Dak Lak), and will be held in the Northern region on December 20 (Hanoi) and the Southeastern region December 25 (Ba Ria-Vung Tau).
The students who received scholarships “Phu My Fertilizers” are students from disadvantaged background and made good performance in study.
“Phu My Fertilizers” scholarships 2014-2015 for the academic year 2014-2015 have a total value of nearly VND 2.6 billion, including 13 Honour scholarships (VND 20 million per each) and 466 consolation scholarships (VND 5 million per each).
In particular, under the spirit of "the whole country towards beloved sea and island", a new thing in this year’s program is that PVFCCo supports outstanding students who go beyond their difficult situation to achieve good results in studying and are children of Navy officers and soldiers, Vietnam Fisheries Resources Surveillance Force members, and marine police who safeguard the the national sovereignty over islands and seas.
There are 70 students in this category received “Phu My Fertilizers” scholarships this year.
These scholarships mean gratitude and thankfulness to farmers’ family – end users of PVFCCo’s products – and they would help encouraging students and giving them strength to make their dreams and ambitions come true
The organizers hoped that the students receiving “Phu My Fertilizers” scholarships would nurture their ambitions, promote the traditional fondness for learning, as well as equip themselves with necessary knowledge for contributing to build a prosperous country.
