The exhibition displaying nearly 60 photos of Vietnam in the early 20th century was held at National History Museum (25 Tong Dan street, Hoan Liem district, Hanoi)
The exhibition is shown with exclusive photos selected from the archives of the French Academy of Ancient Far East. The photographs by the scholars, photographer EFEO performed by classical methods, shooting on film coated glass silver bromide, film negatives on large machines and medium format cameras.
The photographs were digitized and processed image restoration. With content of 4 groups of image galleries: Archaeology, Museum Building, Vietnam Life in the early 20th century, the feast of sacrifice Nam Giao.
To enrich, galleries also uses 50 of its artifacts which are now stored at the National History Museum, was shown into 2 groups: Group objects are operational tools of learning EFEO author has used in the past and group exhibits the works, the study; Typical artifacts found in the ruins of the culture of Hoa Binh and Bac Son, Dong Son, Sa Huynh, Oc Eo, Champa which EFEO discovered in Vietnam. The event was held to celebrate the 40th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam - France.
The event is expected to showcase lasted until May 3th, 2015.
