He also recalled India’s valuable support for Vietnam, saying that since the two countries became strategic partners in 2007, the bilateral relations have been expanded and developed rapidly in numerous fields, including trade, investment, education, science-technology, defence and security.
He expressed his belief that the ties will grow further thanks to the two sides’ common strategic interests and trust.
The diplomat also said that the upcoming visit to Vietnam by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will help lift the bilateral relations to a new height.
On the same day, the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos organised a friendship badminton competition, which drew the participation of 54 players from the embassy and several Vietnamese enterprises operating in Laos.
Meanwhile, a football competition was held in Mozambique on August 27-28 to celebrate Vietnam 71st National Day.
Four teams from the Mozambican National Defence Academy, the Vietnamese community in Mozambique and Movitel, a joint venture between Vietnamese company Viettel and Mozambique’s SPI, attended the event.
