Action Month for Work Safety and Hygiene to be launched

The Central Steering Committee for Action Month for Work Safety and Hygiene has recently issued Plan No. 398 on organizing National Action Month for Work Safety and Hygiene in 2018.

Accordingly, the Steering Committee gives instruction as following:
Organize the National Action Month for Work Safety and Hygiene with attention to enterprises, production and trade facilities and employees in the fields with or without labor relations;
Maintain efficiency, feasibility and avoid wastefulness during the implementation process; call for participation and cooperation of agencies at all levels, sectors, organizations, communications agencies, enterprises and employees.

The National Action Month for Work Safety and Hygiene 2018 will be launched from May 1 to 31, 2018 nationwide. It is themed “Proactively prevent and control dangerous, harmful factors in work places to minimize occupational accidents and diseases”.
Based on the theme, ministries, sectors, localities and enterprises organize activities properly to respond to the Action Month for Work Safety and Hygiene 2018, focusing on following issues:
Organize communication activities on work safety and hygiene in association with theme of the Action Month; innovate and diversify popularization of Law on Work Safety and Hygiene as well as documents guiding implementation of the Law towards simplification, and spread them further in the community;
Increase inspection and examination of work safety and hygiene in particular fields and businesses which are prone to occupational diseases and accidents, such as mining and production of construction materials, use of boilers, lifting equipment and metal cutting equipment, and work in confined spaces; inspect implementation of regulations and policies under the Law on Work Safety and Hygiene as well as documents guiding implementation of the Law,  training on work safety and hygiene, use and inspection of machines, equipment and supplies which have strict requirements on occupational safety and health in the production and business establishments;
Expand inspection and examination in the fields without labor relations and craft villages;
Organize specific activities and events on work safety and hygiene with participation of enterprises and laborers;
Organize seminars and dialogues on policies, exchange activities, conferences and meetings to share experiences in the field of work safety and hygiene; offer advice, training and medical checkup for laborers to detect occupational diseases; visit victims of occupational disease and accidents, and encourage their families;
Conduct other activities, such as launching emulation movements, contests and music performances on work safety and hygiene.
