All six Vietnamese students win medals at the 2015 International Mathematical Olympiad

Ministry of Education and Training’s Department of Education Testing and Accreditation said on July 15 that Vietnamese team won two gold, three silver and one bronze medal at the 2015 International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) in Thailand.

Vu Xuan Trung from Thai Binh High School and Nguyen The Hoan from Hanoi National University ’s Special School for Natural Science all won the two gold medals.

Hoang Anh Tai from Nghe An prvovince, Nguyen Tuan Hai Dang from Hanoi and Nguyen Huy Hoang from HCM City won the silver medals and the bronze medal belonged to Nguyen Thi Viet Ha from Ha Tinh province.
Vietnamese team ranked fifth place of the 104 participating teams.
This is the best result of the Vietnamese team in recent years at an IMO, an annual world mathematics competition for high school students. The team only ranked 10th in 2014 and 7th in 2013.
