The event, organized by the Vietnam National Tourism Administration (VNAT), contributes in part to promoting the image of the country and the Vietnamese people among national and international visitors, promoting the post-pandemic recovery of tourism.

Contestants, who are Vietnamese citizens and expats living in the country, are able to submit their photos online at www.anhnghethuatdulich.com before June 6, 2023.

The 10th event will gather outstanding works with rich and diverse themes, including heritage, destinations, landmarks, historical relics, moments of life, the cultural beauty of Vietnamese people, images of travelers exploring and experiencing tourism products and services, festivals, folklore forms, traditional craft villages, unique “check-in” spots at resorts, hotels, and homestays, and cuisine nationwide.

Local businesses and organizations operating in the tourism sector have the opportunity to exchange, connect, and promote their images and brands through cooperation with the competition organizers.

Award-winning and selected works will be displayed at an exhibition and granted certificates by the Vietnam Tourism Development Fund (VTDF).

The awards ceremony and photo exhibition are scheduled to take place in July 2023 in Hanoi.

This year, Vietnam has organized numerous events in both domestic and international markets to restore and develop the tourism industry.

The tourism sector has served 101.3 million domestic visitors, exceeding the annual plan of 60 million. Meanwhile, the number of international arrivals likely reaches 3.5 million, meeting 70% of the full-year target.

In 2022, revenues are estimated at VND495 trillion ($20.9 billion), 23% higher than the yearly target, according to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The smokeless industry also set a target of receiving 110 million tourists, including eight million foreigners in 2023. It is expected to earn an estimated revenue of VND650 trillion ($27.3 billion) from tourism next year.
