For a week, the famous flower garden was transformed into an impressive exhibition space to celebrate Vietnam Architecture Day (April 27) and the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Association of Architects.
Organizers said that the exhibition aims to pay tribute to the special industry that contributes to developing the nation's culture and society with its ceaseless creativity.
The exhibition's highlight is the main display area with a dome woven from red silk that simulates the water waves of Sword Lake. In addition, models, images, and documents related to the winning projects of the National Architecture Award 2022 - 2023 are harmoniously arranged in the green open space of Hanoi's historic flower garden.
Fifty-seven award-winning works are divided into various categories: residential architecture; public architecture; and planning, research - theory, and criticism of architectural works.
The exhibition also introduces new models of rural houses. These designs are in line with Vietnamese traditional identity, in harmony with the natural landscape, and meet the requirements of disaster prevention.

In Hanoi, the winning 2022-2023 National Architecture Award projects include the Bat Trang Ceramics Museum, the Institute of Mathematics, and the Epic's Home social housing project, among others.
According to Hoang Thuc Hao, vice president of the Vietnam Association of Architects, the winning designs show Vietnamese architects' sensitivity to global architectural trends.
He said these works "clearly and harmoniously express new architectural models of green, sustainable ecological architecture and architecture imbued with national cultural identity".
The event will also feature booths displaying technology products, equipment, and construction materials.
The exhibition is one of the interesting destinations attracting architecture lovers and tourists to Hanoi on Reunification Day and May Day this year.
