Art competition celebrates the creativity of young and disabled artists

The annual art project invites emerging and disabled artists across Vietnam to share their visions of tomorrow through painting and crafts.

THE HANOI TIMES — With the theme “Horizons of Tomorrow,” a new painting and craft creation competition invites Vietnamese artists to imagine the world ahead, a place shaped by dreams, hopes and visions of change.

The award aims to honor young talents and artists with disabilities who express creativity through innovative and sustainable art practices, highlighting diversity and inclusion in Vietnam’s contemporary art scene.

The Pan Pacific Hanoi Art Award 2026 (3rd season) is jointly organized by the Vietnam University of Fine Arts and Pan Pacific Hanoi, marking the latest edition of one of the country’s emerging art platforms for young creators.

The competition features three categories: emerging artists aged 18 to 30 pursuing formal art education in Vietnam; artists with disabilities of all ages; and young artists under 18.

A highlight of this year’s edition is the Special Recognition Award for Craftworks, introduced for the first time to celebrate creativity in craftsmanship. The new prize particularly honors artists with disabilities and those trained at vocational centers or social cooperatives.

Each participant may submit one artwork online via https://panpacific.co/4nqvKgn before December 31, 2025.

Shortlisted entrants will be contacted by the organizing committee to deliver their works for evaluation by the Art Council, which will review the exhibited pieces to select the final awardees.
