An art programme featuring Vietnamese and Korean melodies was held in the central province of Binh Dinh on October 14.
The event, the third of its kind, was organised by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea (RoK) in Ho Chi Minh City and the Korean Cultural Center under the RoK Embassy in Hanoi .
It began with a drum performance and a concert called “the spring festival in the martial arts land”.
Korean artists played their traditional musical instruments and forms which were recognised as the RoK’s intangible cultural heritage.
They also performed songs in popular movies such as Dae Jang Geum – Jewel in the Palace, the Descendants of the Sun, and King and the Clown.
According to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the programme aims to bring Korean culture closer to Vietnamese people and vice versa as well as increase mutual understanding and cultural exchanges.
