Asia-Europe New Music Festival highlights friendship

The Asia-Europe New Music Festival will always be remembered as a vivid and idyllic image of the friendship and solidarity of musicians from Asia and Europe, said Do Hong Quan, Chairman of the Vietnam Composers` Association.

“The musicians and artists participating in the festival were the epitome of professionalism and talent,” Do Hong Quan said on October 12 at the closing ceremony.

Isao Matsushita, President of the Japan Federation of Composers in turn said it was a distinguished honour to have participated in the festival.

“I was most impressed by the talents of Vietnam contemporary artists, beautiful landscapes and hospitality of the nation’s people,” Matsushita said.

Local and international audiences alike were enthralled by seven pieces by Vietnam artists and an impressive performance of the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, and the Vietnam National Opera Ballet.
