Awarding ceremony for the contest of “Hanoi - A Green, Clean and Beautiful Capital City” in 2016
The Hanoi Department of Information and Communication has recently organized an awarding ceremony for the contest of “Hanoi - A Green, Clean and Beautiful Capital City” in 2016. The event drew the participation of Vice Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Ngo Van Quy.

According to evaluation by the Examiner Council, entries followed the plan of the Steering Committee for “Year of urban order and civilization” on implementing “Year of urban order and civilization” in 2016; directive of the Hanoi Party Committee on strengthening leadership, direction in ensuring urban order and civilization in the capital city. Many entries focus on concerned issues, detect and indicate shortcomings of urban order management, environmental protection in the area. Some entries recommend appropriate, practical measures to improve local people’s awareness, sense of law observance, responsibility for building civilize lifestyle, developing a bright – green – clean – beautiful capital city, etc.
At the ceremony, the Organizing Board awarded a first prize for Hanoi Radio Television; two second ones for Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper, Vietnam News Agency in Hanoi; three third ones for Radio Voice of Vietnam, Hanoi Moi (New Hanoi) Newspaper, Tuoi Tre (Youth) Newspaper in Ho Chi Minh City; five consolation ones for Lao Dong (Labor) Newspaper in Ha Noi, Tuoi tre Thu Do (Capital Youth) Newspaper, Phap luat xa hoi (Social legislation) Newspaper, Quan doi Nhan dan (People’s Army) Newspaper, An ninh Thu Do (Capital Security) Newspaper.
Addressing the awarding ceremony, Director of the Department of Information and Communications Phan Lan Tu thanked for significant contributions of press agencies of the Central and Hanoi to boosting communication on building a bright – green – clean – nice Capital city.
At the ceremony, Director of the Department of Information and Communications Phan Lan Tu also officially launched the contest “Hanoi capital city with administrative reform” 2017. She emphasized that, to successfully organize the competition, the Department of Information and Communication expected to receive special attention of leaders of the Party Committee, the People’s Committee as well as active participation of writers in press agencies.
