A conference to promote trade, investment, and tourism in Binh Dinh province will be organised in Quy Nhon city on April 3, according to the information heard at a press conference in Hanoi on March 30.
The conference is expected to lure about 300 domestic and foreign delegates, businesses and investors.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Ho Quoc Dung said that the conference will announce the province's tourism development plan by 2020 and with a vision to 2030, focused on investing and exploiting tourism resources professionally and sustainably with high-quality and competitive tourism products.
Objectives set by the localtity are to lure 5.5 million tourists (of which there are about 800,000 international visitors), reach 10.000 billion VND from tourism revenue and the growth rate of tourism sector at 25% year-on year by 2020.
To achieve these targets, the province will launch a series of projects to draw more investments with the most attractive policies.
From now to 2020, approximately 45 key investment projects to develop tourism in Binh Dinh province will be implemented.
At present, a lot of large investors in the country have invested in the province such as Vingroup, Sun Group, Becamex Binh Duong.
Besides, cooperative agreements on tourism development between provinces of Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Gia Lai, and Dak Lak will be signed. The province will organize fact-finding tours for investors.
According to Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh, Binh Dinh has established a steering committee for tourism development to turn tourism into a spearhead economy.
The priority will be given to develop Quy Nhon into a marine tourism site and tourism promotion and human resource development will be prioritized, he added.
Through tourism and investment promotion conferences held in recent years, Binh Dinh has become a new destination on the tourism map of Vietnam and the world.
