Buc Tuong rock band releases new album shot underground

This is the first time Buc Tuong has ventured to shoot a music video (MV) in a subway station, 15m below the ground, with diverse shooting angles, bringing impressive scenes.

The band Buc Tuong (The Wall) released their latest album, Can bang (Balance), on April 16, at Hanoi Book Street, marking their 28 years in the music industry.

The album includes 10 songs in the genres of Hard Rock, Modern Rock with youthful rhythms, and romantic rock ballad, which has been a specialty of Buc Tuong for many years.

The band conveys the message through the album: "In a long journey, everyone needs a balance to regain the spirit when facing fatigue and difficulties in life. We have to choose the positive and let go of the negative.”

With the song Sunflower, the audience enjoyed for the first time a rock song mixed with the symphony orchestra music - a new and unprecedented experiment in the music of Buc Tuong with the participation of the orchestra and conductor Luu Quang Minh.

Sunflower brings images of vast fields, wishes, and thoughts for positive things in life, skillfully expressed by Buc Tuong and the orchestra’s music.

Some scenes were shot at S9 Kim Ma Underground Station, Metro Line 3, Hanoi.

During a meeting with officials from the Management Board of the Hanoi Urban Railway Project, the band Buc Tuong came up with a bold idea to film the MV at the underground station under construction. Fortunately, they received permission and support to bring equipment to the site.

Guitarist Tran Tuan Hung said: "It's very interesting to sing next to scaffolding, concrete, iron and steel, and other things.”

With Balance, it was also the first time that Tran Tuan Hung contributed his voice to the rap part of the song. This is an interesting surprise for Buc Tuong’s fans.

In addition to the songs of Tran Tuan Hung and Vu Van Ha, the album also brought a pleasant surprise when singer Pham Anh Khoa also contributed a song and the lead vocal role: Freedom.

A short song, but it contains the inner feeling of an artist who wants to get out of the struggle to become himself, to do what he thinks and desires.

The band releases products online on international and Vietnamese music platforms: Spotify, Itunes, Apple Music, Nhaccuatui, Zing Mp3... The public can listen to the entire album at the general link.
