The Miss Vietnam 2014 pageant has just kicked off with several promising candidates. The organisation board is receiving applicants thorough October 15.
Many of the candidates getting early attention are from Hanoi, including Nguyen Hang Nga and Nguyen Tran Thao My.
Nga, 21, studies at the Vietnam National Academy of Music and the College of Television. She wishes to become a journalist in the future.

Primary examination for the northern region will start on October 19 in Hanoi, and the final examination will be from October 21 to 25.
The primary examination for the southern region will be held on November 2 in HCM City, while the final round will take place November 5 to 11.
The final rounds of the pageant will take place from November 23 to December 6 in Phu Quoc’s Vinpearl.
