On August 25, at the meeting between the Hanoi People’s Committee and the business startup community and capital creative startups, the Chairman of the executive board and CEO of CMC Technology Group, Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh discussed and suggested policies on lands and income taxes for enterprises to leaders of Hanoi City.
The meeting between the Hanoi People’s Committee and the start up business community and capital creative startups was organized on August 25 at the headquarter of the City People’s Committee and led by Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung. This is a direct meeting between leaders of the People’s Committee, ministries, city agencies and the business community in Hanoi. With particular directions and aid policies of the city for enterprises and specific information from the business community, the channel to support startups in Hanoi will be improved.
Accordingly, at the meeting, representative of startup companies and capital creative startups, Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh, Chairman of the executive board and CEO of CMC Technology Group raised some recommendations to the leaders of Hanoi City. In particular, there are some notable points as follows: First, the City needs to have incentives on lands and income taxes for enterprises so that they are willing to invest into the creative startup field. In addition, enterprises in the high technological field should be able to get access to the highest privileges established by the state. Experts working in this field should have some incentives with regard to individual income taxes and should be granted with homes or high-quality apartments. The goal is to attract as many talents as possible for the capital. At the same time, complicated administrative procedures should be reduced in order to create more opportunities for enterprises to develop, especially creative startup companies.
Secondly, Hanoi can order or assign creative enterprise – private enterprise to deal with urbanization problem, develop e-government and smart city. On the other hand, private enterprises can invest in public infrastructure development under the form of Public – Private Partnership (PPP), in turn contribute to the development of Hanoi toward a leading smart city in South East Asia.
At the same time, Mr. Ching also suggested Hanoi to allocate land fund for the building of creative technology research center. “CMC is willing to take part in the construction process of the creative technology research center, including incubator, laboratory suitable for the technological revolution 4.0. The center will gather research & development (R&D) enterprises not only in Vietnam but also from abroad to work here”.
The Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said Information and Technology (IT) is the priority of the city in investment for development. Therefore, Hanoi welcomes IT company such as CMC to join the city effort in building high technology research centers.
In the coming October 10, Hanoi will put the online portal of startup ecosystem into operation under the address www.startupcity.vn, with a view to connect start – up enterprises and create opportunities for the development of startup community. The Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee said Hanoi can hand over the management of this online portal to capable enterprise, of which CMC have shown the willingness to do this task.
At present, in the startup ecosystem, CMC Technology Group takes part with many positions, such as: creative enterprise; creating startup environment within the enterprise; working as incubator for creative start-ups and investor for start-ups with high potential projects. CMC is organized based on the creative model of: CMC Technology Application Research Institution – CMC Incubator, 04 laboratories for the purpose of experimenting and CMC creative fund. Besides, CMC also have many creative and innovative programs/policies, which bring Key Performance (KPI) indicators into the operation of every departments and individual ( KPI is a measurable value that demonstrates how effectively a company is achieving key business objectives. Organizations use KPIs to evaluate their success at reaching targets).
