Colorful “Hanoi – a green destination” lures massive tourists

The event creates an atmosphere of joy and excitement, and contribute to honor Hanoi's people and heritages.

A street culture parade titled “Hanoi – a green destination” with cultural activities was held on June 27 evening in the pedestrian area around Hoan Kiem Lake with a view to luring more tourists to the capital city, Kinhtedothi.vn reported.


The event attracted more than 3,000 artists, actors, artisans, practitioners of intangible cultural heritage and Hanoi’s citizens. The program is among a series of tourist promotion events, namely “Promoting cultural and tourist destinations in Hanoi 2020'', which has been jointly deployed by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports and the municipal Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion.

It is an occasion to foster Hanoi’s image of a friendly, safe, quality and attractive destination, create an atmosphere of joy and excitement, and contribute to honor Hanoi's people and heritages.

 The festival begins with a unique drum and lion dance performance, followed by the parade of different art troupes and people representing different walks of life in Hanoi.
 The frontline workers in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic, including doctors, soldiers, police, veterans, civil defense, among others, led the parade.
 They were followed by folk artisans and practitioners of intangible heritages.
 Artists taking part in the parade are the renown faces of many traditional and contemporary art forms in the capital.
 Dancers perform with conical hats during the festival.

 High performance sportsmen with typical disciplines of Wushu, Karate, Taekwondo, among others.
 Performances of the traditional Vietnamese Ao dai and different adaptations of the national costume.
 Being a key tourist center of Vietnam and one of the places attracting many domestic and international tourists, Hanoi has been promoting its brand of cultural identity, friendliness, safety after the Covid-19 pandemic has been effectively contained in the city.
 ''Hanoi - a green destination'' continues to create momentum for the capital city’s tourism to reach a new height and promote tourists’ good impressions on a heroic capital and a City for Peace.
