Colorful Hanoi in the leaf-changing season

Hanoi dresses up in yellow, red and green as leaves change colors.

In the final days of March, Hanoi is wearing stunning colors as leave change to yellow, red and green. The picturesque landscape is bringing peace of mind amidst the raging pandemic.

Ho Guom area is covered with yellow and red colors of leaves.

March is time when loc vung or barringtonia acutangula (commonly known as freshwater mangrove, itchytree and mango-pine) and lagerstroemia speciosa change leaves at the same time.

A corner of the capital is further embellished by the colorful leaves of a terminalia catappa tree.

The streets are adorned with yellow and red leaves.

On the trees, mixture of yellow, green and red create a kaleidoscope.

The road covered in yellow leaves inside the Hanoi National University of Education is a favorite place for students to take pictures and have a date.

The landscape of fallen leaves at the Hanoi National University of Education has left romantic memories on many generations of students.

The poetic scene only lasts about two weeks, then the leaves fall down and the first green buds appear.

Many young people are taking pictures with loc vung (barringtonia acutangula) trees changing leaves.
