The 300-year-old tree in Hanoi flowers brightly with pleasant scent

The tree, which has a large old trunk and two broad canopies, is better known for its strikingly beautiful flowers.

The 300-year-old bun tree blooms in early April, releasing a mildly sweet fragrance that adds to Hanoi's romantic charm.

Bun tree, also known as Bach hoa or Capparaceae, blooms only once a year.

The brilliant flowers are pure white at first, then turn bright yellow when they are in full bloom.

The flowers grow in clusters. The ones in the middle of the cluster are white, while the outer flowers are yellow.

Each flower carries 13 to 18 stamens, each with about 10 centimeters long.

The distinctive and unique flowers are short-lived, lasting just one month.

The fragrance of the flowers is most intense at night and early in the morning.

Both professional and amateur photographers are drawn to the exceptional beauty of the tree in its bloom.
