The sixth edition of the international dance festival “Europe meets Asia in contemporary dance” will be organised from September 21-25 in Hanoi and HCM City from September 24-27.
The 6th edition of the “Europe Meets Asia in Contemporary Dance” festival will take place at National Youth Theatre and Star Galaxy, Hanoi and in the Opera House in HCM City.
"Europe meets Asia in Contemporary Dance" is an initiative of the European Union National Institutes for Culture, a network of European cultural institutes and embassies in Hanoi, in cooperation with the Goethe-Institute in Vietnam, the Vietnam Youth Theater and the HCM city Ballet Symphony Orchestra.

The event aims to promote contemporary dance in Vietnam and create a chance for artists to exchange and share experiences.
According to the organising board, international dancers from Germany, France, Israel, Japan, Austria, and Vietnam will perform contemporary dances in a variety of styles with breathtaking choreography and light and media installations.
Vietnamese troupes will perform dances titled “Co co khong khong” (Yes yes no no) and “Mai nha” (The Roof). Vietnamese and German dancers will also team up to perform “Nhung tiem giat la Hanoi” (Laundries in Hanoi).
