Countdown events and fireworks to welcome New Year 2025 in Hanoi

With the New Year just around the corner, let The Hanoi Times take you on a tour of the most exciting celebrations taking place in Hanoi!

As the New Year approaches, Hanoi is inviting everyone to take part in its vibrant countdown events and fireworks displays to ring in the year 2025.

Major countdown events

1. Herbalife Countdown 2025

  • - Location: Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square
  • - Time: 8:15 PM, December 31 to 12:20 AM, January 1, 2025
    This music and light show promises a dynamic atmosphere with renowned artists, DJs and cutting-edge performances.

2. Trust The Moment Grand Music Festival

  • - Location: August Revolution Square (in front of the Opera House)
  • - Time: 7:30 PM, December 31
    Featuring DJ Vicetone and leading Vietnamese artists, this free event will include a dazzling light show and livestream coverage.

3. The Glamorous Countdown 2025

  • - Location: K-Town Square, Vinhomes Ocean Park 2
  • - Time: 8:00 PM, December 31 to 12:30 am, January 1, 2025
    Artists such as Vu Cat Tuong and DALAB will light up the event with spectacular music and light shows.

Fireworks display locations

Hanoi will light up the sky with six fireworks sites across five districts:

  1. 1. Hoan Kiem District (two sites: in front of Hanoi Moi headquarters and Hanoi Post Office)
  2. 2. Nam Tu Liem District (F1 racetrack area, Phu Do Ward)
  3. 3. Ha Dong District (Van Quan Lake)
  4. 4. Son Tay Town (Son Tay Citadel)
  5. 5. Dong Anh District (Dong Anh District Sports Center)

Each location will feature 600 aerial fireworks and 90 ground fireworks during a 15-minute display from midnight to 12:15 AM on January 1, 2025.
