April’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Ha Noi rose 0.12% over the previous month and 6.27% compared to the same period last year, according to the Municipal Statistics Office.
Over the past four months, the CPI rose 1.15% against December 2013, lowest over the recent 12 years.
After decreasing in the previous months, the CPI slightly picked up thanks to the rise in prices of 10 out of 11 main commodity groups.
However, housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials price reduced 1% compared to the previous month.
Garments, hats and footwear saw the highest price growth, at 0,44%, followed by food and restaurant services, at 0.32%, and transportation up 0.26%.
The prices of gold and the US$ went down 0.87% and 0.01%, respectively.
