Ho Chi Minh City will build Cultural and Historic museum in 3D technology to help tourists, especially international visitors get access easily to information about cultural sites and historical highlights of the city area .
It is one of the important contents in the program on applications IT into culture and tourism in the City during 2014-2015 period and orientations to 2020 launched by Ho Chi Minh City.
Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City will apply advanced technology such as RFID, geographic information systems ( GIS ) for building intelligent information systems of cultural heritage objects, museums and intangible heritage, a centralized database for city planning.
It is estimated that in 2014 the city will receive about 4.4 million foreign tourists, accounting for 55% of total international visitors coming to Vietnam. The program is designed to create favorable conditions for citizens and visitors to get more easily access information about tourist attractions, places, landscapes, historical sites in Ho Chi Minh City.
