Cultural day features Vietnamese cuisine in Slovakia

A “Vietnamese Cuisine Day” was recently held in the Slovakian capital of Bratislava with the aim of introducing Vietnamese traditional dishes to international friends.

The event, organised by the Vietnamese Embassy in Slovakia in collaboration with a vocational school of culinary and hotel services in Bratislava , drew the attendance of several ambassadors to Slovakia as well as correspondents from the News Agency of the Slovak Republic (TASR) and the Markiza television station.

Under the instruction of members from the Vietnamese Womens Association, about 20 students from the vocational school prepared Vietnamese traditional and popular dishes, including spring rolls, Pho ( noodle soup with beef or chicken) and sweet soups.
It is expected that the Vietnamese Ambassador to Slovakia Ho Dac Minh Nguyet will attend a live TV show to introduce Vietnamese culture and gastronomy on Markiza TV later this month.
