Danang International Fireworks Festival 2023: “World without Distance”

After three years of hiatus due to Covid-19, the Danang International Fireworks Festival 2023 will take place this summer to mark the strong recovery of global tourism after the pandemic.

The Danang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) will be held from June 3 to July 8 by the Han River with the participation of eight teams, including seven from Italy, Poland, France, Australia, Canada, Finland, the UK and the host team, Danang.

Under the theme "A world without distance", the festival will include the display of pairs of teams in the spotlight starting on June 3. The DIFF will begin with the competition between the Vietnamese and Finnish teams on that day. The following nights will feature competitions between teams from Canada and France on June 10, Australia and Italy on June 17, and Poland and the UK on June 24. The final will take place on July 8.

As in previous DIFF festivals, each fireworks display will last 20 minutes, according to the themes chosen by the Organizing Committee, including: "Love Without Distance", "Peace For the World - Equality for Humanity", "Creativity Without Limits", among others.

During the festival, a series of side events will also be held to enhance travelers' experience at famous tourist attractions in Danang such as Sun World Ba Na Hills, Asia Park- Asia Park.

The DIFF 2023 is part of the "WOW Danang" program, a component of the "WOW Vietnam" tourism promotion campaign initiated by Sun Group. The nationwide campaign is expected to introduce a number of attractive tourist sites in Vietnam to local and international travelers.

The DIFF has become a prominent event making Danang city the center of Vietnam's summer festivals for the past 11 years.

The festival also helps the city be awarded twice "Asia's Leading Festival and Event Destination" by the World Travel Awards in 2016 and 2022.
