During the talk with Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat in Hanoi on November 9, Danish Minister of Environment and Food Eva Kjer Hansen said most of more than 130 Danish businesses invested in Vietnam are looking forward to expanding further investments.

At the meeting, the two ministere stressed the trade growth between the two countries in recent years. Trade between Vietnam and Denmark remained to increase in the first ten months of this year and is expected to reach 500 million USD in 2015.
The two sides proposed new initiatives to strengthen cooperation with agricultural sector's agencies in improving food safety standards and the environment of food and agriculture.
Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat affirmed that Vietnam wants to import good breeds of pig from Denmark and learn from the country’s advanced technology relating to animal husbandry.
The Minister suggested Denmark support removing the difficulties of food security in agriculture and strengthen the agricultural investment exchange between the two nations.
Vietnam hopes to lure more Danish companies investing in the country's agricultural sector in the coming time, he added.
The Vietnamese minister suggested Denmark create conditions for Vietnamese officials to visit to the country to study its management experience as well as technologies and policies to develop sea aquaculture.
