Director of Hanoi’s Department of Education and Training Chu Xuan Dung has asked all schools in the city to strictly comply with with the Government’s regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control.
He specifically requested that all teachers, students and schools’ staff wear face masks on their way from home to school and vice versa.
He also asked the schools to continue apply technology in the management of the teaching and learning processes, and install and utilise the application “Safe COVID-19” as per the Ministry of Education and Traning’s request.
The director also said the schools should keep providing information to all of their staff, teachers and students on the disease’s prevention and control, as well as strictly following the Ministry of Health’s ‘5K’ motto (which includes wearing masks, disinfecting, keeping a distance, not gathering, and declaring health condition).
They should refrain from organising activities that gather a lot of people if not absolutely necessary, he said. Should such activities take place, all teachers, students and staff must strictly apply disease prevention measures, he added.
Dung also asked the schools to ensure that vital medical equipment such as themometres, hand sanitisers and soaps, as well as clean water are provided. Campuses and classrooms must be cleaned and disinfected regularly.
They should collaborate with local health facilities to apply prevention measures as more COVID-19 cases have been recorded. They should also take caution, identify those with symptoms such as coughing, having a high fever, having breathing difficulties, and report to concerned authorities.
Visitors should be limited on campuses, and guests must strictly apply disease prevention measures such as wearing masks, having their temperatures taken and washing hands when entering campuses.
