Designer Vo Trong Nghia honoured 2016 Green Era Award

The Sheraton Phu Quoc Resort designed by architect Vo Trong Nghia won the 2016 Green Era Award which was presented at the ceremony held in Germany`s Berlin Intercontinental hotel from April 3-4.

The Green Era Award is organised annually by the France Otherways Management & Consultants Association to reward and recognise global models for sustainable development from individuals and organisations across the world. 
The Sheraton Phu Quoc Resort was honoured for outstanding sustainable practices and environmental achievements.

The architecture employed sustainable use of materials, energy and space in line with guidance and policies issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
Designer Vo Trong Nghia was recently chosen one of the world's four edgiest architects by the New York Post. 
His company, Vo Trong Nghia Architects, is famous for having designed the Vietnamese pavilion for the World Expo in both Shanghai (2010) and Milan (2015). 
It won five World Architecture Festival Awards (2014 and 2012) and Nghia was selected Architect of the Year in Vietnam in 2012.
