With more than 300 artworks priced from US$ 50 to US$ 3,000 by 160 talented artists coming from all over Vietnam, Domino Art Fair will undoubtedly sample some of the best Vietnamese arts for your collection.
For a long time, Vietnam’s art market has been struggling with various problems naming the lack of connection with local audiences or counterfeit painting incidents which cause enormous confusion for art lovers and art buyers. Within that context, our RealArt organization’s attempt is to organize healthy and transparent art fairs to win back public confidence and bring arts closer to the Vietnam art lovers.
In the efforts to bring arts closer to public and to facilitate the development of Vietnam’s art market, in 2017, RealArt plans for a series of art fairs within its strategic framework to develop a national art fair brand for Vietnam which can compete with other regional reputed art fair brands like Singapore Affordable Art Fair, Hong Kong Art Basel, Singapore Art Stage, etc.
Domino Art Fair – the first art fair in the series – will be held in Ha Noi and (for the first time) in Ho Chi Minh City. Domino Art Fair inherits the backbone of previous Tet art’s model being strong linkages with established curators/art advisors, competent artists and domestic art lovers. However, Domino Art Fair will be pushed up at a larger scale. RealArt will experiment some new features for a so-called “secondary market” for art. In Domino Art Fair, there will be a booth dedicated to RealArt’s regular customers/collectors who want to re-sell their bought art works.
Another outstanding new feature of Domino Art Fair is an interactive art education scheme called “School Day”. This scheme includes a series of workshops where school children play and learn how to make creative art works from famous artists.
The scale of Domino Art Fair
This will be the first art fair ever in Vietnam connecting the most prominent art critics/researchers (Nguyen Quan, Ly Doi, Pham Long), and leading art advisors/curators (Tran Huy Oanh, Thanh Chuong, Hua Thanh Binh, Trinh Tuan, Le Thiet Cuong, Le Kinh Tai) in an art advisory panel.
Our advisory panel is expected to curate more than 300 art works in various forms and media (paintings, sculptures, gifts, jewelry; oil, acrylic, lacquer, etc.) by about 160 talented artists in three regions in Vietnam.
